These are my favorite kind of days.....

I really do think I'm the luckiest woman alive.  I'm blessed to be married to my very best friend. I know that a lot of women say, "My husband is my best friend", but I'm not so sure that they actually mean it.  When I say "I'm married to my best friend", I mean it. I mean it with everything that I have in me.  He irritates me. He is offensive. He doesn't listen to me as much as he should. He thinks that everyday is a 'grope fest'. He's perfect. (well....close to it).  You see, he 'gets me'. In our house, I can say two words and he'll know exactly what I'm thinking or what I'm about to say.  We can see something on the television and KNOW what the other is thinking.
This is where my favorite day begins. When Shane doesn't get enough sleep, I know it's gonna be 'that kind of day'. This is a good thing. He gets super quirky and edgy. He threatens to punch everyone in the face (which is just funny to hear him say this, especially when he says chances are it's gonna be me). He sees everything through different lenses when he's like this. I like it. You see Shane always sees the good in people. ALWAYS. After being screwed over time and time and time and time again....he still sees the good. He truly is a man after God's heart. He searches for that thing that pleases God. (I on the other hand usually see the complete opposite, and then try to figure out what it is that God sees in them....*wow...that's Christian like*) So this is when our lives get comical.  We feed off each other (that sounds gross, but I don't know how to say it differently). Nasty comments. Threats of physical harm. Tickle fights until someone pees (that's me). Then we gang up on the children. (oh yeah...here it comes). They join in. It's a sitcom. It truly is a sitcom. (maximus has already stated that there is a monster stomping around upstairs....damn monsters).
So here I am, 3 of the most fantastic children in the world, the best husband ever, and a Savior who is probably shaking His head in irritation (but still laughing) that he created two people who could compliment each other so well. Thank you God. Thank you for loving me so much that you not only sent your Son to live and die for me...but you sent me Shane to live with me until we live with you for eternity. Wow. It sounds pretty amazing when you actually type it out, doesn't it?
