Galaxy Quest AND Goonies.....score!

Well....look at that. Here it is almost 6pm on a Friday and I'm just NOW getting on the computer. I have spent less time this ENTIRE week on the computer than what I would spend in a single day. (without a doubt). I gotta tell ya, it feels pretty good. I have more energy. I'm not near as crabby. I'm almost 'pleasant' to be around.
Today I spent the day shopping. You know....being a girl. I was buying all the extravagant gifts (hangers, gift card for Cameron's friend, VHS tapes for $.25 a piece, bagels and buns from the bread store...you know HIGH MAINTENANCE stuff for a girl like me).
I spent the better part of the day by myself. This is something that I HAVE to have.  I think it is because I'm an only child. I enjoy doing things by myself. I've gone to Chicago by myself. When I worked outside the home, I loved going to lunch by myself. Do I care that it looks like I have no friends? No. People are actually nicer to you when you are by yourself. The check out people tell you to "have a nice day", and I think they mean it. You make idle chit chat with the person standing in line and you are genuinely interested in what they have to say. I gave a lady my cart at Aldi and told her to "Be careful and the cart was on me today". (It cost $.25...that you get back when you return it in case you didn't know). No drama. No screaming. No "Can I's". No "I need". Just me and the Volkswagen.
Since I mentioned the VHS thing before, and I have mentioned it again....it is time you all know. I have an addiction. It is a crazy addiction. It gives me a high more than any drug or alcohol ever did/or could.  Hi. I'm Janie......(hi Janie)....and I'm a VHS tape aholic.  I can't help myself. It's the thrill of the hunt. I love to watch the movies (previews and all) and then think about the next movie I have to get. Seriously? Galaxy Quest? Yep. Got it today....along with 12 other tapes. Cameron doesn't seem to mind since I'm constantly picking up another James Bond movie that he hasn't seen. (I have a list of all the James Bond films in my purse....the ones he has are highlighted) We added two (Roger Moore) to the collection today. For $.50, I just became the coolest mom ever. Shane makes fun of me until I can get him inside the store.  This is where it gets weird....if you name a movie, I can tell you if I have it.  I can probably tell you which shelf it is on. So what? Well, there are over 400 tapes. Seriously.....400....I know where the ones are at that I have loaned out. It is a weird obsession. I wish I was this worried about paying my bills on time, exercising, and eating better....that's OK. Cause Guess what Jesus loves me just like this...
