It doesn't matter how weird today gets...it's still Betty White's birthday.

*Stretch*
Well, it's that time. This time every morning sounds like we have rats. Emma (14 and a Freshman) and Cameron (11 and 5th grade) stumble around while Maximus (5) and Mikey (5 and not mine) are already making plans to take over the world.  I get up at 5am every morning to welcome Mikey into the house, tuck him in on the couch and see his mom off to work. Some people think it's crazy. I think I'm getting the deal. I get to see one of my very best friend's every morning (we laugh at least half the time....loud enough to keep the husband awake) This is OK since he's trying to eavesdrop.
Last night I had to go to Bizarro World which is also the high school that my daughter attends. The had to get their electronic tablets. You see, we are now approaching No More Textbooks.  Did you hear me? No More Textbooks.  I'm not sure what to think. You remember when your high school teacher would only let you write in Blue or Black Ink? How about when you had to make sure that your name, the date, period had to be in the top right hand corner of your paper?  Now....it's electronic. EVERY BIT of it. That's not what makes it Bizarre. What makes it Bizarre is when you see 'that teacher' who hated your guts 20 years ago, and now this person has access to your child. What was I thinking? (Damn, I should have been nicer). Then you see other parents that were your classmates and they have kids in highschool? How can this be? Maybe  I should have thought things through and moved away after getting married, but I'm still a big baby and I don't like to live more than 8 miles away from my parents.
Now today is a Tuesday. Not just any Tuesday. I get to go to Max's preschool and hang out with him and 11 of his friends. It's not as bad as it sounds.  This requires a sense of humor, patience, and a lack of dignity. (2 out of 3 isn't too bad). This is probably the only time of day when Max is the calmest. He's a good boy, he really is. However, he's a 5 year old boy with Shane and Janie Rager as parents. You can't expect too much. I say this after a farting contest went horribly wrong last night right after dinner. (it was horrible). So, now off to school on a wet and dreary January day, I go.
As for the rest of the day, maybe I'll finish cleaning my kitchen like I started yesterday. It usually ends up being a 2-3 day process because I feel the need to rearrange everything. I can't just leave it be. I have to move it. Put this in a different container. This HAS to go here. Blah Blah Blah. I've got everyone accustomed to this. I'm very 'anal' when it comes to symmetry except in the kitchen. NOTHING matches. I have mismatched plates, glasses, placemats....etc. The only thing that has to match is the silverware. Why? If you figure it out, let me know. If someone has a different fork than the rest of the table...I'll get up and get a matching one for them. Whoa. That's weird when I think about it. It's even weirder when I type it out. It's a good thing that Jesus loves me just like this.....

Have a great day everyone:

By the Way,  Happy Birthday Betty White.
