Poor Janie.....she's a big baby.

Most people who read this boring blog of mine know that, Shane and I run a business out of our home. We started it because Shane doesn't like for others to tell him what to do, but we continue because it gives us the freedom of being with our children.  My lovely lovely children.   For those of you who are small business owners, you know what a pain, tax time is.  It is enough to make me want to pull my hair out...or yours. Whatever.
Well, Friday was an extra special day. We received a fancy letter (it was actually just a plain white envelope with United States Treasury written on it) stating that we owe more money. This is a substantial amount. To top it off, it is due April 2nd. Really? That's great. I have no idea where that money is going to come from. NO IDEA. When you run a business that has been affected by the economy you have to get creative.
Here we go....you all ready?  We had just finished telling our children how God ALWAYS provides what He thinks our needs are. ALWAYS.  We see that they are starting ask different kinds of questions (things I didn't ask until MUCH later in life). This one I had the answer to. Fast forward to the next day.....I receive the monies that would pay the always generous IRS from someone, with a letter. The letter was sarcastic, sincere, and stated there are NO STRINGS ATTACHED. Just like that?  Since the only rules stated was for me to 'shut up',  that's what I did. I accepted the gift.  I shut my mouth. Graciously said Thank you. Now I ask God to Bless her and her family the way we have been blessed. (this all went with our Sunday School lesson which is what made it more peculiar)
There were other things in the midst....I won't bore you with them....but they seemed like a big deal.  They are stumbling blocks. They are minor stepping stones. I have some  good hiking boots with Jesus laces so Satan is gonna have to do better than that.  I do know that God uses people to do extraordinary things. I'm thankful when I am blessed, I'm even more grateful when Jesus uses me to do the blessing. (what a treat!)
So today I go to work for a few hours to start paying back this wonderful gift that was blessed upon me. Thank you Jesus for loving me just like this because I am truly a mess. A Hot, Beautiful, Faithful Mess.
