Have you ever heard $127.12 being dumped into a money counter at the bank? It's awesome. This is the amount that was saved, donated, and scavenged. See, the deal was We will get another dog when you can show 'me' how serious you are about collecting and saving all your change. (i'm not sure how much Max contributed but he was excited about the 'bird jar' getting full).
Long story made super short. Went in. Looked at all of them. Debated for 15 minutes. Finally agreed to take "that" one out. (she actually picked us). She isn't the one that I would have chosen, but now I'm glad the decision wasn't mine. Part Beagle and part.....I don't know. It doesn't matter. She's perfect. Her name at the shelter was Annie (she was a stray)....I think it fits. So Annie it is.
The price for adult dogs at the animal shelter is $110. Doesn't that seem crazy? It does until you realize that these animals have been checked over, shots, micro chipped, and vouchers to have them spayed/neutered. I HIGHLY recommend going to the shelter. So many dogs, cats, and other animals looking for home they can call their own. (they don't really say it...they can't talk....they're animals). Excuse me while I step down from my podium.
It's Thursday......what shall we do today? I have an urge to watch Annie on VHS....Yes, I said VHS. I'll save that for another day. :)
You can't put a price on a life and besides she is the goofiest looking, yet cutest, little bundle of love. Hope you're enjoying your time with the new family addition. :)
